Actually I was able to locate my.qbw company file and it was stored on my network computer with my.qbb backup files! I moved it to the reccommended location for Windows 7: Users/Public/Public Documents/Intuit/QuickBooks/Company Files Case Closed, Thanks Deidre56, Airpix You should not allow the QBB files to be on the same device as the QBW files. You can manage the File placement through normal Windows DASD Management. In fact, on my systems I do not keep the QBW or QBB files on internal devices.
